The American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley
embodies the idea of the Japanese Kihon with
the design of the Boker Plus Kihon DC. The term
originally encompasses the fundamentals and basic
techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley
translates down-to-earth in the solid everyday
knife. Features and the straightforward design
are evidence of a high level of practicability and
give the knife with the decisive price-performance
advantage an ideal basis for everyday cutting
tasks. The satin-finished drop point blade made
of D2 opens velvety smooth via the removable
thumb stud thanks to the ball bearing, whereas
the crossbar lock guarantees intuitive, safe and
practical unlocking of the knife. The non-slip
handle with textured squares is made of highstrength
GFN and fits comfortably in the hand.
Orange anodized rings around the pivot screw
and the large handle screw give the Kihon a fine
touch. Supplied with a lanyard hole and reversible
tip-up wire clip for flexible carrying options. Blade

"Enjoy the little things" is the motto of Brad
Zinker's compact EDC version of the timeless
Boker Plus Urban Trapper. The stubby, yet
gallant pocket knife features a ball-bearing
drop point blade made of VG-10 in an austere
stonewash finish that opens with a flipper
and locks with the reliable liner lock. The
lightweight G10 handle scales have a fine
texture for a perfect grip and underline the
dignified character of the Gentleman Folder.
In short, no mercy for boxes, ropes and other
packaging. The titanium liners additionally
reduce the weight and blend harmoniously
into the overall appearance of the pocket
knife. The tip-up clip references to the smoky
stonewash finish of the blade and allows for

The Bend makes the Trend - the renowned
knife designer Lucas Burnley sets new
impulses with the Boker Plus Bend and pays
tribute to his hometown Bend in the U.S. state
of Oregon with this homage of a practical
and tactical EDC knife. Clad in elegant black,
the spring-assisted pocket knife opens the
ball-bearing Spearpoint blade made of
D2 smoothly and softly either by flipper or
removable thumb disc, while the liner lock
reliably locks the knife in place. The flattering
jimpings on the handle made of GFN, which
combines stability and low weight, promises
a firm grip. The matching blue-colored
elements such as the liner, tip-up clip (r) or the
backspacer with a lanyard hole accentuate the

The Boker Plus Kwaiken by Lucas Burnley is
one of the most influential designs of the 21st
century. With its clear and practical shape,
the modern pocket knife has become a true
icon. The precise lines and slim design, which
nevertheless accommodates the entire blade
when closed, are absolutely unique. It is
the further development of the well-known
Burnley Kwaiken Classic, a fixed blade knife
also in the neo-Japanese style. In the Kwaiken
Sym, the knife designer from Oregon brings
the idea of symmetry and harmony in line with
Japanese philosophy. The flipper resembles
a parrying element and allows safe, intuitive
operation. The liner lock, which locks the
dagger blade honed on one side, is made
of black-coated 154CM on a ball bearing
and is just as reliable. The exclusive claim is
underlined by the handle with noble titanium
bolsters and handle scales made of G10,
which harmoniously give the all-black knife
a very special look. The slim design and the
exclusive material make the Kwaiken a noble
