INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN CONCERN
As a father of three, I know the profound privilege
of shepherding and protecting young ones in
this alien world, so far from the Father. And I know
the Scriptures that call me to care for the orphan, the
widow, the defenseless and oppressed.
That’s why so much of our work is dedicated to rescuing
and restoring persecuted families. The adversary will do
his work–stealing, killing, and destroying (John 10:10)–
but we have the supreme privilege of joining the Father
in His work: to bring life, healing, and redemption.
As we celebrate this season and how Jesus came into His
own creation at Christmas, it reminds us that Mary and
Joseph were parents like many of us. They experienced
the same joy, the same fears, and the same wonder of
childbirth. How would they care for this little one?
In the 2023 Gifts for the Persecuted issue, there are
many ways, big and small, that you can continue to
work with the Father in His work to rescue, restore, and
make Christian families whole again.
What an honor it is to bring life to our brothers and
sisters and to learn from them what true devotion
looks like coupled with the highest cost for faith!
No matter your family dynamic here on Earth, we
rejoice that Jesus adopted you and me and we will
spend eternity in His perfect family.
Merry Christmas and God bless you, my brother and
sister!
RESCUE: WIVES & KIDS
PERSECU ION.ORG
INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN CONCERN
The world writhed in pain as a devastating earthquake and tremors of
historic proportions struck southeast Turkey near the Syrian border
this year. The quake killed more than 50,000 people, displaced more
than two million more, and damaged some 300,000 buildings. The
already persecuted community was dealt another hardship. ICC joined
other relief organizations and supplied necessities such as tents, food,
clothing, and generators to those Christian communities– thanks to
your generous support.
And in late August, we received calls from our staff on the ground in
Pakistan, telling of a massive riot that destroyed an entire Christian
community in an instant (pictured left). Right after the dust settled, ICC
staff were there, interviewing survivors and providing emergency relief
aid as we planned for long-term solutions.
Disasters and attacks against the persecuted church can strike when we
least expect them. That’s why it’s crucial we have a hefty emergency
fund at the ready. The Where Most Needed Fund is the glue for ICC – it
helps us keep the lights on, cover expenses, and support all areas of
ministry so we are always ready to serve as your helping hands and feet.
MOSES’ MISSION TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL
Moses is an evangelist among a hunting and
gathering tribe in Tanzania. After converting to
Christianity in 2018 and leaving behind his family
due to their rejection of his new faith, Moses
settled near the people’s forest and began sharing
the gospel.
He established a church for the community and
provided food to help church members struggling
with starvation.
ICC helped the pastor with Bibles and food to ensure
an ample supply for the church community, with the
hope of drawing more people to attend and hear
the word of God.
REBUILDING LIVES IN THE AFTERMATH OF TERROR IN THE DRC
We’ve shared with you about the brutality of the ADF
terrorists that brutalize Christian families in the DRC.
Hundreds of children of all ages are traumatized as they
watch their parents die and are then physically and
sexually assaulted.
A loving pastor and his wife, along with others, pluck
these kids up from the forests and fields and bring them
home to the orphanage you help support. They are part
of God’s eternal kingdom and will see their parents again
one day.
With your gifts, we supply these beautiful youngsters
with necessities, bedding, food, and so much more. We
expand this orphanage after a devastating fire this year.
Millions of Pakistanis, including young children, serve
off their debts over decades. Christians already face
Brick kilns are a vicious cycle of abuse, slavery, and
persecution.
Education is the key part of the long-term solution
Northern Africa (MENA), and now India. More
Pastors’ Families
SHARING THE MEAL WITH FAMILIES ACROSS INDIA
Christians in Chhattisgarh, India are suffering. Hundreds of believers were displaced after
violent attacks during Christmas and New Year’s last year. Mobs of radical Hindu nationalists
went on a rampage. They looted and vandalized homes and churches and attacked believers.
Thousands of Christians were left homeless in the central Indian state.
This has caused a serious food crisis in Chhattisgarh and neighboring Uttar Pradesh, which
has also suffered from radical Hindus. Pastors are often beaten by mobs and then arrested
for “illegally” sharing their faith. Radical Hindu nationalists are using anti-conversion laws to
falsely accuse pastors and stir up trouble.
When pastors are arrested or lose their jobs, their families suffer. With your help, we distribute
EMPOWERING CHURCH PLANTERS TO
REACH REMOTE COMMUNITIES
One of our flagship programs is our Bikes &
Bibles initiative in India. We have trained and
equipped more than 1,000 church planters each
with a bicycle and 100 New Testaments to take
into hard-to-reach communities in a country that’s
hostile toward Christianity. These courageous and
passionate evangelists reach difficult areas where
they are often harassed and threatened by Hindu
radicals. Two of our U.S.-based staff recently visited
a rural community and gave 20 bikes and 2,000
Bibles to 20 pastors – their joy was infectious.
At ICC, we strive to be good stewards of God’s resources by being efficient, effective, and ethical. We will make
every effort to allocate these funds for their intended purpose but reserve the right to meet ministry needs that
serve our brothers and sisters. Price points listed in this catalog are for reference and are as close to actual
expenses, but costs are subject to change based on the economy.
OUR MISSION: Since 1996, ICC has served the
global persecuted church through a three-pronged
approach of advocacy, awareness, and assistance.
ICC exists to bandage the wounds of persecuted
Christians and to build the church in the toughest
parts of the world.
DONATIONS: International Christian Concern (ICC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)
(all donations tax-deductible). ICC makes every effort to honor donor wishes
in regards to their gifts. Occasionally, a situation will arise where a project is
no longer viable. ICC will redirect those donated funds to one of our other
funds that is most similar to the donor’s original wishes.
MERRY
CHRISTMAS
FROM ICC!
“But the angel said to
them, ‘Do not be afraid.
I bring you good news
that will cause great
joy for all the people.
Today in the town of
David a Savior has
been born to you; he is
the Messiah, the Lord.
This will be a sign to
you: You will find a
baby wrapped in cloths
and lying in a manger.”
