on that so-close-yet-so-far<br />
final stretch of highway<br />
between Quaama and Bega<br />
the sunsetting western sky<br />
unironically like a postcard<br />
ablaze in red and umber<br />
set against the cardboard black<br />
of the mountain range’s sharpened silhouette<br />
the majesty<br />
of coming home<br />
