In 2008 Reuben Colley visited New York.
He arrived during a shower of rain, and as soon as he stepped
out of his yellow cab he was inspired to capture the Big Apple
in a timeless series of oil paintings.
Reuben worked very closely with the UK’s leading silkscreen printmaker
to produce silkscreen prints of two of the paintings.
This meticulous process requires a high level of skill.
It was a six-month long project with every single image in the
edition being completed by hand.
Eighty-five individual screens, one for each colour, were
required to reproduce the images.
The result is a beautiful hand produced print, vibrant and rich in colour.
These editions truly are a work of art themselves.
Reuben Colley is extremely proud to have worked with a
traditional printmaker to create these stunning editions.
Each exquisite silkscreen print is strictly limited to 50 copies and
are hand signed and numbered by Reuben.
