Product Properties
Descoton extra is a formaldehyde-free liquid concentrate
for the disinfection and cleaning of medical instruments and
endoscopes by immersion. Descoton extra’s highly effi cient
formulation allows for a low dosage and guarantees a very
economical use.
The product contains effi cient corrosion-inhibitors and
features good cleaning power. Descoton extra is virtually
odour-free and can also be used for disinfection and cleaning
procedures in combination with ultrasound.

Short-term disinfection and cleaning in a single-step
procedure.
Descoton extra is suitable for the disinfection and cleaning
of surgical instruments of all kinds as well as for rigid and
fl exible endoscopes.
Descoton Extra is suitable for procedures using ultrasound.
Application
Immerse opened instruments into the working solution
immediately after use. Every surface and cavity must be
entirely wetted by the working solution.
After exposure time, rinse off instruments thoroughly with
clean water and let dry. Suitable for all circulation procedures.
The working solution should be replaced depending on the
level of soiling. Use Silikonspray or Spezial Ölspray to
protect hinges.
Attention: In case of heavily soiled instruments the use of
additional detergents like Instru Plus or Desco Cleaner
is recommended. The standing time of the working solution
is not affected by the use of Instru Plus. The use of Desco
Cleaner reduces the standing time to one day.

Composition
100 g solution contain:
12 g glutaral
All tensides contained in the product are biodegradable acc. to
EU detergent guideline.

Application Aids
Dosage bottle, metering pump for 2-litre bottle and 5-litre
container, tap for container, opener for container, measuring
machines.
Special Information
Contains glutardialdehyde. Harmful by inhalation and
if swallowed. Causes burns. May cause sensitisation by
inhalation and skin contact. Do not breathe vapour. In case of
contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and
seek medical advice.
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face
protection. In case of accident or if you feel unwell seek
medical advice. Use only in well-ventilated areas! Keep out of
reach of children.
Wash instruments, especially endoscopes and immersion
containers thoroughly with water prior to the fi rst use of
Descoton extra. After exposure time, wash instruments
carefully with clear, lukewarm water.
Avoid contact with textiles (yellow stains possible).
