Gaudrelle<br />
This estate is owned by Alexandre Monmousseau, the fifth generation <strong>of</strong> winemakers.Armand<br />
Monmousseau, Alexandre's father, is a recognized name as the former head <strong>of</strong> his family's<br />
sparkling wine firm in Montrichard. Alexandre, intense and confident, had his schooling in<br />
Beaune and is one <strong>of</strong> the leaders <strong>of</strong> the Sec-Tendre (s<strong>of</strong>t-dry) movement that includes<br />
producers like Hu<strong>et</strong> and Champalou.<br />
Gaudrelle, Vouvray, Clos de vigneau<br />

This six hectare single vineyard (14.82 acres) is 100%<br />
Chenin Blanc. The wine is <strong>of</strong>f dry in style <strong>with</strong> honey, earth<br />
and apricot notes. Wines from the town <strong>of</strong> Vouvray have<br />
been known to age well for 40 years. This particular bottling<br />
should hold for at least 5-7 years. This Loire Valley white<br />
wine from France is perfect on a warm spring day.<br />
Pomerols<br />
Founded in 1932, this Cave Coopérative is located in the top commune <strong>of</strong> Pomérols, located<br />
b<strong>et</strong>ween the garrigue <strong>of</strong> Pezenas and the sea dominated by the Mont St Clair in S<strong>et</strong>e. The co-op<br />
has merged <strong>with</strong> the Cave de Castelmau de Guers. They include 320 members and produce<br />
55,000 hectoliters <strong>of</strong> wine (600,000 cases).<br />
Pomerols, Picpoul de pin<strong>et</strong><br />

Vinification: Skin maceration for a few hours, pneumatic<br />
draining and pressing, double cold decanting, temperature<br />
controlled fermentation.<br />
100% Picpoul, aka Folle Blanche. Pale yellow color <strong>with</strong> green tints.<br />
Fresh and fine aromas <strong>of</strong> grapefruit and exotic fruit. Lime flavors,<br />
<strong>with</strong> typical focusing acidity, are hallmarks <strong>of</strong> Picpoul. Our best<br />
value, this wine impresses novices and hardened geeks equally.<br />
Known as “the Muscad<strong>et</strong> <strong>of</strong> the South” in France, this is to the<br />
Mediterranean coast <strong>of</strong> France what Albariño is to northwest<br />
Spain…the default wine for fresh shellfish & seafood.<br />
