Dark red/purple color. Very perfumed with aromas of ripe black cherries and
some sweet oak. Full, fleshy, and jammy in the mouth with loads of ripe and
spicy red and black fruits. Great structure with loads of ripe, fleshy tannins,
and a long, long finish.
You can drink it tonight or over the next few years to enjoy the Malbec fruit
flavors at their best. It will pair well with traditional red-friendly foods like
hamburgers, steak, pork chops and ribs, pizza, spaghetti with meat sauce, and
grilled or roasted chicken. Great all by itself too!
Crios de Susana Balbo
Susana Balbo stands out for her incredible skill and experience. She has been making wine
since she earned her enology degree in 1981, and she has probably produced a wider variety of
wines than any other winemaker in Argentina. Susana was the first Argentine winemaker to be
hired as a consultant to make wine outside of Argentina. She has made wine in Australia,
California, Chile, France, Italy, South Africa, and Spain, and she spends a month each year in a
different wine region of the world studying with local winemakers and growers. After twenty
years of producing wines for others, Susana decided it was time to apply her education and
experience to her own wines and put her name right on the bottle.

"The 2007 Torrontes is about as good as the varietal gets. Super fragrant, smelling
of a spring flower garden, honey, and exotic spices, from the nose on expects the
wine to be sweet. On the palate, however, it is dry with a creamy texture, intense
flavors, excellent acidity, and a lengthy finish. It is an ideal alternative for rich
courses normally calling for Chardonnay. All of the Crios wines are outstanding
values."
