Jason Schwarz has strong family connections <strong>with</strong> the Barossa wine scene, and his father is a grape<br />
grower <strong>with</strong> over a hundred acres <strong>of</strong> vines. After obtaining a degree in wine mark<strong>et</strong>ing and traveling<br />
around the world, Jason r<strong>et</strong>urned to the Barossa Valley and persuaded his father to allow him to use a<br />
small amount <strong>of</strong> his fruit.<br />

Spinifex<br />
Spinifex was conceived by Magali Gely and P<strong>et</strong>er Schell in 2001 <strong>with</strong> the ambition to hand make <strong>wines</strong><br />
from ultra-select vineyards in the finest terroirs <strong>of</strong> the Barossa Valley. Magali has a family history <strong>of</strong><br />
wine growing near Montpellier spanning over ten generations, while P<strong>et</strong>er's ancestors were among the<br />
earliest to s<strong>et</strong>tle in the Barossa Valley.<br />
