This 7.5 foot balsam fir was decorated in
gold and white, and featured what most
southern girls would consider one of their
most prized possessions-pearls. From the
pearl detailing on many of the ornaments
and the pearl encrusted picks that adorned
the top of the tree, to an assortment of
pearl Christmas trees down the center of
the dining room table, the theme was
carried throughout the entire room.
Woodsman
Another treasured Christmas
collection that Allie has had since
childhood is her nutcracker collection.
She wanted to display these in their home
and decided to decorate a tree to match.
Allie used ornaments from one of the trees
she and husband Tyler had in their very
first home which had a woodland theme
with tartan accents. These special
ornaments along with some fun nutcracker
ornaments and ribbon that she added to
the seven foot fir made for the perfect
combo for their “Woodsmen” tree.
In the past, Allie has always
made a point to have all of the
Christmas trees and decorations
down and everything put away
by New Years Eve. This year,
they got everything down before
school started back for the second
semester, but they took their time
organizing and putting things up,
since it had all been pulled out
of storage from the renovation.
A house that is decked in
Christmas decorations from
front door to back door, is a
tradition that the Walters family
adores and looks forward to year
after year. Allie’s one goal was to
keep joy in their home, and to
focus on being grateful for each
other. Not only did joy fill their
home, it was also incorporated
within each theme of all ten
Christmas trees. Traditions are
fundamental for many families
during the holiday season, and the
Walters family will always value
their time as a family decorating,
and keeping joy alive, together.
