The 11th of Runway Dubai was hosted by SEE Institute, The Sustainable City in Dubai, with the vision of Artificial Intelligence and Modern Fashion. Runway Dubai released the theme earlier this year and urged students to assume leadership roles in the fashion technology industry. Participating in competitions as emerging talents boosts awareness and confidence. The students were asked to create sustainable garments using natural fibers drawing inspiration from artificial intelligence and the vintage era. Runway Dubai founder Modupe Omonze stresses the need to go back in eras because fashion is the only thing that evolves and revolves as technology advances. Runway Dubai is also excited to merge visions with the impeccably designed Sustainable City of Dubai which was recognized as the first operational net zero energy city in Dubai and the happiest community in GCC at the first Gulf Real Estate Awards instituted by the Dubai Land Development for the third year running. Sustainable City suggests social sustainability can be achieved through an abundance of amenities and community outreach programs. This magazine is a consolidation of the unique fashion event and important information for the future of fashion.
