year by summer are eligible
to apply for CCA Pre-College,
a summer program designed
to help young creatives
develop their skills and experience
what it’s like to attend
college in our supportive,
inspiring community. Pre-
College students will have
the opportunity to: earn
three college credits; learn
from expert faculty instructors;
develop art and design
portfolio pieces for college
applications; meet other artminded
makers and designers;
and live on campus.

Juniper is a space for young writers of
poetry and prose who are eager to experiment
with forms and ideas new to them, in
the company of their creative peers. Since
2006, we have been developing and sharing
our curriculum with young writers in the
hope that we might offer them inspiration,
mentorship, and immersion in the writer’s
life. Our curriculum includes Writing Labs,
Craft Sessions, Participant Readings, Writer’s

residential Pre-College Program. Spend
July immersing yourself in an innovative
environment, three blocks from the ocean,

Pre-College Summer Program immerses
students in the fashion world through
creative course work and supervised educational
visits to artisan workshops, fashion
ateliers, manufacturing factories, fashion

first-hand through life-changing Tuscan experiences
and discover what it really means
to pursue a career in fashion. Throughout
the transformative program, students attend

For five weeks every summer the Powerhouse
Theater comes to life on the Vassar College
campus to provide a nurturing environment for
both students and professional practitioners to
learn from one another. The Powerhouse Theater
Training Program provides aspiring theater
professionals a chance to immerse themselves in
the study of acting, directing, or playwriting. The
Training Company also offers free performances
throughout the season. The Professional Season
produces developmental workshops of plays,
musicals, and readings of works-in-progress.
