The seaside community where all generations
can know and grow in Jesus.

From that humble start, Ocean Grove grew and continued to provide a place
of respite for those seeking to come away from the hectic pace of life.
Permanent buildings were added for worship and cottages were established
year ’round until an entire community was formed. The original members of
the Association laid out what would become one of the first planned
communities of the Victorian age.
In 1870 the New Jersey State Legislature granted a charter, setting Ocean
Grove aside as a place of perpetual worship to Jesus Christ. Promoting that
original purpose remains vital as the Camp Meeting continues to provide a
place for spiritual birth, growth, and renewal in a Christian seaside setting.
Our lives today are even more hectic than Ocean Grove’s founders could have
ever imagined, the tyranny of the urgent often drives us, and a place of peace
and relaxation is just as necessary to rejuvenate body and soul. We invite you
to discover today what Ocean Grove’s founders did 150+ years ago. Indeed, “a
more magnificent site,” can still hardly be found.
Our History
In May, 1869 a group of Methodist ministers felt called to search along the New
Jersey coast for a suitable camp meeting location - a place of respite where
“religion and recreation should go hand in hand.” After an extended search,
they came upon a virtually uninhabited grove of trees, free from mosquitoes
which had tormented them at other sites previously visited and pleasantly
surrounded by two lakes and the Atlantic Ocean. Despite its isolation, Ocean
Grove’s founders later wrote that, “it seemed to us that a more magnificent
site for cottages could hardly be found.

Off-Season Recap
It's been an incredible inaugural season and what a privilege it has
been to see God's hand on this ministry.

We have had amazing attendance in the off-season despite cold
nights, rainy days, and long drives from out-of-towners. People are
still drawn to God's square mile because the presence of the Lord is
the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!
Traveling from as far as Brooklyn, Dumont, and Little Egg Harbor,
families came from all over to experience God in Ocean Grove in a
whole new way in the off-season. From Family Movie Nights,
Homeschool Ministry, Worship Nights, and various conferences, we
are so grateful for all that God continues to do through the ministry of
Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association. Even after 150+ years,
Ocean Grove continues to be a place of perpetual worship to Jesus
Christ.
We look forward this season to continue to provide opportunities for
spiritual birth, growth and renewal through worship, educational,
cultural, and recreational programs for persons of all ages in a
Christian seaside setting.

This is not a drop off program. Parents are not
permitted to leave the property while their
child is in attendance.

Join us as we learn to challenge and sharpen one another to live out
our calling of being men after God’s own heart as spiritual leaders.
Raphael Giglio is the Founding and Lead
Pastor of North Shore Fellowship in
Monmouth County, NJ. He is a graduate
of Pillar College with a degree in
Organizational Leadership, and has
studied journalism and religion at Rutgers
and Harvard Universities. He has
pastored churches in Franklin, TN and
Zarephath, NJ and is ordained by the
Christian and Missionary Alliance. He
serves as a Trustee with the Ocean Grove
Camp Meeting Association, and is
involved in multiple Messianic ministries
on a national level. Raphael is the author
of the book “Soul or the Spirit” and his
teaching ministry “Sharable Truth” can be
heard regularly on The Bridge Radio.

worship to bring renewal and
restoration to worship leaders,
individuals, and communities. We
seek to create transformative
worship experiences that inspire
and encourage, allowing the Holy
Spirit to work in the hearts and
lives of all who participate.

mission of The Daily Grace Co. is an
overflow of her heart. Kristin has a B.A.
in History and an M.A. in Bible
