Architektur<br />
Durch das Verschwindenlassen der Umgebung treten<br />
Gebäude in Strobls Kompositionen sehr klar und deutlich<br />
hervor. Architektur fasziniert Leopold Strobl, da er<br />
generell von Formen fasziniert ist und durch die Überzeichnung<br />
des „Hintergrundes“ die Form des Gebäudes<br />
oftmals noch besser zur Geltung kommt … es wird deutlich<br />
„erhöht“ und kann sich in seiner Unvergleichlichkeit präsentieren.<br />
Es kommt jedoch auch vor, dass er ein Gebäude, wie<br />
den Stephansdom, komplett überformt, dieser jedoch<br />
aufgrund seiner Einzigartigkeit erkannt werden kann.<br />

By making the surroundings disappear, buildings stand out very<br />
clearly and distinctly in Strobl’s compositions. Architecture<br />
fascinates Leopold Strobl, as he is generally fascinated by forms,<br />
and the exaggeration of the “background” often accentuates the<br />
form of the building even more ... it’s clearly “elevated” and can<br />
present itself in its incomparability. However, it also happens that he<br />
completely transforms a building, such as St. Stephen’s Cathedral,<br />
which can still be recognised due to its uniqueness.
