Founder of Hospices of Hope,
Graham Perolls, invites you
to accompany him on one of
a series of exclusive tours and
talks in three unique gardens in
West Kent. Join Graham and
Reuthe’s owner, Claire Price, in
exploring the magical 11-acre
rare species woodland that hosts
one of the country’s best selection
of specialist rhododendrons,
azaleas, camellias and conifers.
Finish your adventure with
refreshments! Proceeds will
benefit Hospices of Hope’s vital
work supporting hospice care
in South and East Europe.

READING STREET VILLAGE
OPEN GARDENS
This is Reading Street’s fifth open
garden event. Gardens range from
a small cottage garden to an award
winning wildlife one, a Dragon
garden with surprises for the little
ones plus Taddy’s Allotments. All
gardens are within 5 to 10 minutes
walk from St Andrew’s Church.
There will be plant and produce
sales, as well as refreshments
and lunches available in the
Community Hall and a fabulous
cake stall. Tickets are available
from various points in the village.

FLETCHING GARDEN TRAIL
The Garden Trail guarantees
fun for all, including children’s
activities, a raffle and a popular
plant and seed sale. Some of the
gardens have featured in national
publications so it promises to be
a visual treat. The Garden Café
will be situated on the Village Rec,
serving delicious light lunches,
refreshments and homemade cakes
throughout the day, all set in an
idyllic location. Tickets should be
purchased on the day from the
school playground (contactless
card machine available). Included
in your entry fee is a brochure
which includes a map to help
you navigate your way from
exquisite garden to garden.

SONG AWARDS FINAL
We’re so thrilled to hear about
this year’s final. Eight immensely
talented singers and their pianists
will compete for prizes worth
over £5000, to be awarded at
the end of the evening. This
is a wonderful opportunity to
hear these exciting young artists
perform settings of some of our
greatest poetry by composers
from the British Isles and Ireland.
The Judges include Dame
Felicity Lott and – for one prize
– the audience! Tickets include
a programme and an interval
drink and are available online
and from Rother Books on Battle
High Street. On the door tickets
are cash only please. This is an
accessible event with free parking.
