Jack:
Jesus, a pink couch. I could use a seat either way.
Arthur: What's he doing.
Jack:
It's not bad.
Pause.
I need a new job.
Arthur: Oh no. I just remembered. They're gone away for the weekend.
Jack:
It's been two years since I made any kind of decent money.
Arthur: He must have planned this ahead. Been watching the house.
Jack:
I just wish there was more in it, you know. I don't do it cos I want to. It's the only thing I
have.
Arthur: What kind of man does that.
Jack:
I'm good at it too. I know all tricks you see. I even invest in the proper tools. Good quality
ones like.
Arthur: If only I could do something.
Jack:
I take a backpack with me, obviously, but if I get lucky and I run out of space I bring a muslin
sack.
Arthur: I can't though.
Jack:
Some of the younger lads these days are using bin bags, but they rip too easy. They don't
suppress the sound that well either.
Pause.
Ah, sure I haven't had to use it in God knows how long. /What point is there.
Arthur: What point is there.
Silence.
They don't deserve this. They're good people. They're not even going to find out until they
get back.
Jack:
Fuck.
