Launches
in the City
Citylife in Lichfield was delighted to be invited to the official
launch ceremony of the latest public house to open in the city,
in order to soak up the prestigious atmosphere, enjoy some hearty
food and sample a taste of the ales on offer.
The Quill & Scholar on Tamworth Street is part of the Heartwood
Collection and opened its doors to welcome the Lichfield community in
March, following a multi-million pound refurbishment programme.
The team is led by General Manager, Stuart, and Head Chef, Costel,
who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the establishment.
The pub has undergone an extensive refurbishment to create a warm
and welcoming bar of 42 covers, a stunning dining room with 122 covers
and a gorgeous heated terrace to the rear with 74 covers. Infused with
Heartwood’s signature quirky style, the pub boasts design touches
including a wood-burning fire, cosy snugs, House of Hackney fabriccovered
banquettes and Bert & May tiling. A large skylight to the rear of
the pub has transformed this area into a light-filled garden room.
Guests can enjoy Heartwood’s seasonally sourced menus alongside a
curated wine list, local cask ales, beers and cocktails. Younger guests will
be able to enjoy their own bespoke menu whilst four-legged friends will
be made welcome in the bar and on the terrace.
