Municipal Council for the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>London</strong> is considering an amendment to the <strong>City</strong>'s Official Plan <strong>and</strong><br />

Zoning By-law for the l<strong>and</strong>s shown on the map attached. The requested change is described below.<br />

The purpose <strong>and</strong> effect <strong>of</strong> this amendment is to permit an expansion <strong>of</strong> a<br />

pharmacy use (Shoppers Drug Mart) at 1 155 <strong>Commissioners</strong> <strong>Road</strong> <strong>East</strong>. ln<br />

order to accommodate the proposed expansion, the requested amendment will<br />

allow for a future severance <strong>and</strong> conveyance <strong>of</strong> l<strong>and</strong> from <strong>733</strong>-739 Deveron<br />

Crescent to 1 155 <strong>Commissioners</strong> <strong>Road</strong> <strong>East</strong>. The area <strong>of</strong> l<strong>and</strong> proposed to be<br />

severed is approximately 0.089 hectares p.22 ac).<br />

Possible change to the Official Plan l<strong>and</strong> use designation from "Multi-family,<br />

Medium Density Residential" to "Community Commercial Node".<br />

Possible change to Zoning By-law Z.-1 to change the zoning from an Associated<br />

Shopping Area Commercial Special Provision (ASA1(9)iASA3(2) Zone which<br />

permits a range <strong>of</strong> retail/commercial uses such as convenience stores, financial<br />

institutions, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, dry cleaning <strong>and</strong> laundry<br />

plants, personal service establishments, day care centres, clinics, <strong>and</strong><br />

medical/dental <strong>of</strong>fices; <strong>and</strong> from a Residential R8 (R8-4) Zone which permits<br />

such uses as low-rise apartment buildings, senior citizens apartment buildings,<br />

<strong>and</strong> stacked townhouses, to an Associated Shopping Area CommercialSpecial<br />

Provision (ASA1( )/ASA3( )) Zone to permit the current range <strong>of</strong><br />

retail/commercial uses, together with special provisions for reduced minimum<br />

number <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>f-street parking spaces, reduced minimum rear <strong>and</strong> interior yard<br />

setbacks, <strong>and</strong> increased maximum lot coverage regulations.<br />

lf a person or public body does not make oral or written submissions at a public<br />

amendments are adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appealthe<br />

decision <strong>of</strong> the Council<strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>London</strong> to the Ontario Municipal Board, nor<br />

will they be added as a party to the hearing <strong>of</strong> an appeal unless, in the opinion <strong>of</strong><br />

the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.


The appropriateness <strong>of</strong> the requested Official Plan <strong>and</strong> Zoning By-law<br />

amendment will be considered at a future meeting <strong>of</strong> the Built <strong>and</strong> Natural<br />

Environment Committee. You will receive another notice inviting you to attend<br />

this meeting.<br />
