<strong>The</strong> Bronze Medal and Prize.<br />
(Value Ten Guineas.)<br />
<strong>The</strong> Bronze Medal and Prize was established at the A nnual Meeting held on<br />
A ugust 2, i88z, and is awarded to any assistant medical <strong>of</strong>ficer <strong>of</strong> a mental hospital<br />
(public or private) for the best dissertation on a clinical or pathological subject<br />
relating to mental disorders.<br />
<strong>The</strong> following is an abstract <strong>of</strong> the conditions:<br />
(I) <strong>The</strong> dissertation to be written in English.<br />
(2) Each dissertation to be distinguished by a motto or device, and accompanied by a sealed<br />
envelope containing the name and residence <strong>of</strong> the author, and having on the outside a motto<br />
or device corresponding with that on the dissertation.<br />
(@)<strong>The</strong> dissertation shall not exceed io,ooo words in length.<br />
(@)<strong>The</strong> dissertation and every accompanying drawing and preparation will become the<br />
property <strong>of</strong> the Association, to be published in the <strong>Journal</strong> at the discretion <strong>of</strong> the Editors.<br />
(@)<strong>The</strong> dissertations not approved, with their accompanying drawings and preparations,<br />
will, upon application within one year, be returned, together with the sealed envelopes unopened;<br />
if not claimed within one year they will become the property <strong>of</strong> the Association.<br />
(6) <strong>The</strong> dissertations for the year must be delivered to the Registrar before April 30.<br />
(7) No prize will be awarded if none <strong>of</strong> the dissertations is <strong>of</strong> sufficient merit.
