Applications are invited for the position of Building/Licence Inspector 

for the City of Quesnei. Reporting to the Administrator, the successful 

applicant will handle all building and plumbing inspections, co-ordinate 

with the local Fire Marshall, enforce relevant bylaws and administer the 

business licence bylaw. 

The preferred applicant will have completed apprenticeship in a 

recognized building.trade; be a member of or eligible for membership in 

the B.C. Building Inspectors' Association with Level II certification; and 

be fully familiar with the B.C. Plumbing Code and National Building 

Code. The demonstrated ability to interpret and apply bylaws together 

with regulatory experience and competence to deal effectively with the 

public are prerequisite qualifications for this position. 

The salary range is $2,400 - $2,700 per month.
