Foster Families Refill and Rejuvenate<br />
More than 175 families and 325 children (natural, adopted and foster) attended <strong>TFI</strong>’s “Refill Your Cup” Foster <strong>Family</strong><br />
Retreats held at the Double Tree in Overland Park and at the Marriott in Wichita. The retreats provided vital lifestyle tips<br />
to help our foster families achieve inner emotional balance and sanity while balancing their blended family demands.<br />
Families learned about “Living Gracefully: Uncovering Your Spark” and “Preserving Your Relationship While Doing<br />
Foster Care.” The annual retreat provided structured educational opportunities as well as an opportunity for families to<br />
informally network with one another and share day-to-day parenting experiences. CEO Michael Patrick attended both<br />
sessions to assure our families that they are very much appreciated and needed not only by <strong>TFI</strong>, but most importantly<br />
by children throughout the state of Kansas.
