Croatia<br />

Valid identity papers or a passport, valid at<br />

least until the end of the stay, are required for<br />

entry into Croatia for EU nationals and Swiss<br />

citizens. Identity card holders will be given a<br />

permit upon arrival, for a maximum stay of<br />

3 months. This permit must be presented<br />

when leaving the country.<br />

Currency: the kuna (HRK) (=100 lipas).<br />

(“Kn” according to local custom)<br />

Time: UTC + 1<br />

Domestic animals: must be provided with<br />

an international vaccination certificate. For<br />

Site classification: 1 - 4 star; this classification<br />

is not obligatory, but at the request of individual<br />

campsites.<br />

Campsites charge a tourist tax.<br />

Driving on the right<br />

Speed limit:<br />

• In built-up areas: 50 km/h<br />

• On main roads: 80 km/h (trailers and<br />

caravans) / 90 km/h<br />

• Motorways: 130 km/h (cars and motorhomes)<br />

/ 80 km/h (trailers and caravans)<br />

The motorways have tolls; payment in HRK or<br />

euros.<br />

A warning triangle (2 with a trailer), reflective<br />

jacket, first aid kit and spare car bulbs are<br />

compulsory on board each vehicle.<br />

Dipped headlights are obligatory 24h/24.<br />

Tolerated blood alcohol level: 0,5g/litre<br />

of blood.<br />

Smoking ban in public transports, cinemas,<br />

theatres, public buildings and waiting<br />

rooms.<br />
