the Eastbay Xplosion Basketball Program • broke the triple jump record
for Newark Memorial High School’s track and field program •
participated in club track and field and holds the PAC javelin record
and was also a national qualifier in triple jump, high jump and javelin.
Personal:
Born September 22, 992 in Fremont, Calif. • daughter of Pope and
LaDonna Powell • chose Denver because the school felt like a perfect
fit academically and athletically • also recruited by NAU, UC Riverside,
UC Santa Bara and Santa Clara • involved in Newark Cougar Basketball
Camp and the annual Make A Difference Day • has been on the
Principal’s Honor Roll and Honor Roll every semester • hopes to play
professional basketball overseas before returning to the US and playing
the WNBA • enjoys playing other sports, the drums and spending time
with family and friends • hopes to earn a degree in computer science
with a minor in computer engineering.

coaches • was recruited by Iowa State, Northwestern, Iowa, Creighton
