LaDonna Powell • chose <strong>Denver</strong> because the school felt like a perfect<br />

fit academically and athletically • also recruited by NAU, UC Riverside,<br />

UC Santa Bara and Santa Clara • involved in Newark Cougar <strong>Basketball</strong><br />

Camp and the annual Make A Difference Day • has been on the<br />

Principal’s Honor Roll and Honor Roll every semester • hopes to play<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional basketball overseas before returning to the US and playing<br />

the WNBA • enjoys playing other sports, the drums and spending time<br />

with family and friends • hopes to earn a degree in computer science<br />

with a minor in computer engineering.<br />
