Third Season<br />

Florida (2004)<br />

Dupes joined the DU communications staff in<br />

August <strong>of</strong> 2008, after serving as the season-long<br />

communications intern for the Orlando Magic<br />

(NBA franchise). Dupes’ primary responsibilities<br />

include serving as the primary contact for women’s<br />

basketball, men’s lacrosse and volleyball, with<br />

secondary responsibilities with men’s and women’s swimming and diving<br />

and both golf teams.<br />

During her 0 months with the Magic, Dupes was responsible for writing<br />

press releases, creating and distributing season/game credentials and<br />

handling the day-to-day operations for the communications staff and<br />

team.<br />

Prior to the Magic, Dupes served as the marketing coordinator for Nova<br />

Southeastern <strong>University</strong>’s D-II athletic department for the 2006-07 season<br />

and the sports information assistant from Jan. 2005 to July 2006. During<br />

her time at NSU, Dupes served as the primary contact for volleyball,<br />

women’s basketball and s<strong>of</strong>tball, with secondary responsibility in men’s<br />

and women’s soccer, men’s basketball, baseball, men’s and women’s golf,<br />

women’s rowing and women’s tennis. She was also responsible for the<br />

layout and design <strong>of</strong> all the department’s publications and marketing<br />

materials for each sport.<br />

Prior to NSU, Dupes served as a student assistant in the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Florida’s Sports Information Department from Aug. 200 to Dec. 2004.<br />

Her career in media relations began in Jan. 999 with the Miami Fusion,<br />

MLS franchise (dissolved Jan. 2002) while she was a student in high school<br />

until her graduation in June 200 .<br />

Dupes, a native <strong>of</strong> Davie, Fla., graduated from the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Florida in<br />

Gainesville, Fla., in Dec. 2004 with a Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in public relations<br />

and a Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Arts in German.<br />

and will provide all the play-by-play analysis on Pioneer Vision and<br />

Pioneer Radio this season.<br />

Eleven women’s basketball games will be shown live on Pioneer<br />

Vision, while the other 3 will be available via Pioneer Radio. Both can<br />

be heard via the internet on the www.<strong>Denver</strong>Pioneers.com website.<br />
