Navy Country Club. “I was a ball girl at a pre-Wimbledon<br />
tournament,” said Waldron, who now lives in Potomac,<br />
MD. “She was the Great English Hope [to win Wimbledon].<br />
She did win, but it took another five years. I was 17 when<br />
she won.”<br />

Barry’s dedication to her Southeast<br />
Tennis and Learning Center children,<br />
calling Barry “Hurricane<br />
Cora” because she is a “force of<br />
nature.” She would keep persevering<br />
until projects were <strong>com</strong>pleted.<br />
Barry has helped hundreds of<br />
students. Williams said, “Someone<br />
who stands out in the leadership of<br />
our city is Cora. We love you. Keep<br />
doing what you are doing. You’re<br />
the best.”<br />
