Deferred - You can set documents to be ‘on hold’ while<br />

they are in Outbox. Scroll to a message that is being<br />

sent and select Options→ Defer sending.<br />

Failed - The maximum number of sending attempts has<br />

been reached. Sending has failed. If you were trying to<br />

send a text message, open the message and check that<br />

the Sending settings are correct.<br />

Viewing messages on a SIM card<br />

Before you can view SIM messages, you need to copy<br />

them to a folder in your game deck.<br />

1 In the Messaging main view, select Options→ SIM<br />

messages.<br />

2 Select Options→ Mark/Unmark→ Mark or Mark all to<br />

mark messages.<br />

3 Select Options→ Copy. A list of folders opens.<br />

4 Select a folder and press OK. Go to the folder to view<br />

the messages.<br />

Cell broadcast<br />

(network service)<br />

In the Messaging main view, select Options→ Cell<br />

broadcast.<br />

Options in Cell broadcast:<br />

Open, Subscribe /Unsubscribe, Hotmark / Unhotmark,<br />

Topic, Settings, Help, and Exit.<br />

You can receive messages on various topics, such as<br />

weather or traffic conditions from your service provider.<br />

For available topics and relevant topic numbers, contact<br />

your service provider. In the main view you can see:<br />

the status of the topic: - for new, subscribed<br />

messages and - for new, unsubscribed messages.<br />

the topic number, topic name, and whether it has been<br />

flagged ( ) for follow-up. You will be notified when<br />

messages belonging to a flagged topic have arrived.<br />

Note: A packet data (GPRS) connection may<br />

prevent cell broadcast reception. Contact your network<br />

operator for the correct GPRS settings. For further<br />

information on the GPRS settings, see ‘Packet data<br />

(General Packet Radio Service, GPRS)’, p. 43.<br />

Service command editor<br />

In the Messaging main view, select<br />

Options→ Service commands.<br />

You can send service requests, such as activation<br />

commands for network services (also known as USSD<br />

commands), to your service provider.<br />

For more information, contact your service provider. To<br />

send a request:<br />

in standby mode or when you have an active call, key<br />

in the command number(s) and press Send, or<br />

if you need to enter letters as well as numbers, select<br />

Messaging→ Options→ Service commands.
