W H A T M A K E S V O D K A ?
Raw Material
Vodka requires some form of starch or sugar to be created. This is normally
found in the form of wheat, rye, potato or grapes. The resulting Vodka will
differ slightly depending on what starch or sugar source is used and its quality.
Number of Distillations
There are two methods of distillation that are used in Vodka production.
Batch distillation involves a small amount of the fermented material being
processed in its entirety, separating the vapours that create the spirit and the
waste products. The vapours are then returned to liquid, ready to be processed
for subsequent distillations. This is a time consuming method, but generally results
in a higher quality finished product.
Continuous distillation comprises of a constant supply of the fermented material
continually being fed back into the bottom of the still, creating an immeasurable
number of distillations.
Water Source
Most Vodkas are produced with water sourced from under-water springs or
glaciers. Soft water (water with minimal dissolved minerals) is ideal for Vodka
production because it exhibits a close to neutral flavour.
Filtration
The type of filter and the number of filtrations are designed to increase the
purity and flavour of Vodka. Most are charcoal filtered, while peat, quartz or
silver can also be used.

Feijoa Vodka 700mL

The Feijoa fruit is extensively
grown across New Zealand
and provides the distinct

Vanilia Vodka 700mL
DERIVED FROM: WHEAT

Absolut Vanilia gets its rich

Madagascan Vanilla.

Luksusowa

Produced from select potato
crops grown exclusively in
the Baltic region of northern
Poland. Distinctively flavoured,

Zubrówka
Bison Vodka 700mL
DERIVED FROM: RYE
ABV: 40%
Bison Grass Vodka is
produced in Poland with
each bottle containing a
unique blade of Buffalo
Grass from the Bialowieza
Forest, located in Poland
and Belarus. Made entirely
from rye grain, the crisp
palate is followed by vanilla,
coconut, and almond notes.

Finlandia
Mango Vodka 700mL
DERIVED FROM: BARLEY
ABV: 40%
Produced with natural mango
flavours, Finlandia Mango is

slightly tangy Vodka. Serve

and a mango wedge.

Polmos Wisniowa
Cherry Vodka 700mL
DERIVED FROM: GRAIN
ABV: 40%
Wisniowa Cherry Vodka is
made by infusing natural
cherry flavour with pure
Polish Vodka. This creates a
semi-sweet Vodka with an
exceptionally deep colour that
is ideally suited to cocktails.
It can also be served straight

Russian Standard
St. Petersburg
