Fishman and American Songwriter magazine<br />
are teaming up to offer a lucky singer-songwriter<br />
the chance to win a 10-to-12-show Coffee<br />
House Tour of the Northeast United States. The<br />
Grand Prize also includes the cost of a Nashville<br />
booking agent to handle tour scheduling, a<br />
$1,500 travel budget and a free Fishman SA220<br />
Solo Performance System. Fishman will also<br />
feature the winner in a special SA220 print and<br />
online advertisement scheduled to run later in<br />
the year. American Songwriter magazine will<br />
also run a Q&A feature story on the winner and<br />
provide daily blog coverage of the tour from<br />

American Songwriter will promote the contest<br />
via print, their Web sites and social-networking<br />
platforms, e-mail lists and the network of singersongwriters<br />

The contest launched July 2 before Summer<br />
NAMM in Nashville and will run until the<br />
middle of this month, with the winner chosen<br />
by August 17. The tour will launch in october in<br />
a northeast location to be determined based on<br />
the winner’s location.<br />

Room in Knoxville TN; Duke Coffeehouse in Durham<br />
NC; 49 West Coffee House in Annapolis MD;<br />
living Room in NYC; The Red Room @ Café 939<br />
in Boston MA; Kerouac Café in Columbus oH;<br />
Common Grounds in lexington KY; and several<br />
other well-known venues in the northeastern U.S.<br />

KMC<strong>Music</strong>orp Marks 25 th Charity golf Tourney<br />
KMC<strong>Music</strong>orp recently hosted its 25 th annual “Everett Porter Unintentional” Charity Golf<br />
Tournament, with money raised going to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for children and the<br />
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. More than 100 golfers from the music products industry,<br />
as well as local area businesses, participated in this year’s tournament, held at Country Club<br />
of Avon. The event included an 18-hole, four-person scramble competition and dinner featuring<br />
a raffle and auction. “Throughout the years, the tournament has been successful because of the<br />
generosity of our sponsors and the camaraderie of all the participants,” said Ed Miller, President<br />
of KMC<strong>Music</strong>orp. “Not only is it a fun day of golf with friends and colleagues, but it also gives us<br />
an opportunity to provide support for local charities, such as The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp<br />
and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.”<br />
For the past 25 years, KMC<strong>Music</strong>orp (a division of Fender <strong>Music</strong>al Instruments Corp.) has<br />
raised more than $200,000 for charitable causes in New England, including more than $100,000 for<br />
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. The charity was founded in 1988 by Paul Newman and serves<br />
children and their families coping with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other serious illnesses.<br />
