bypass switching and utilize many rare or difficult-to-find chips that
more pedals to their already-crowded pedals boards. The current lineup
includes the Ana Echo (analog delay), Black Secret (distortion), Blade
(distortion), Cruncher (high gain distortion), Ensemble King (analog
Manuel rodríguez guitars
Partners With Carter
For many years, guitar makers Manuel Rodriguez and Sons have
been promoting the arts and Spanish culture by giving exclusive
handmade classical guitars from their factory in Toledo, Spain to
important personalities from politics, business and science. Their classical
and flamenco guitars have been handcrafted since 1905 and often
are made to order for those searching for a specific sound quality
and resonance: 6,000 pieces of wood, sourced all over the world, are
assembled, sanded and polished. The finished product will leave the
workshop only after 1,600 hours of work.
Some six years ago, Manuel Rodriguez Jr., third generation in the family
business, started a longstanding collaboration with the Carter Center—set
up by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter—supporting its worldwide
health and development programs by donating guitars for auction.
Up until now, the Carter Center has raised $500,000 auctioning
exclusive, handmade Rodriguez Guitars. The Carter Center is a leader
in fighting preventable diseases such as river blindness, one of the
major causes of blindness in the world. Its programs, implemented
to date in more than 70 countries around the world, are helping to
improve people’s health and quality of life.
