Welcome
I am pleased to introduce to you the Sport
Liverpool Handbook for 2012/13.
The University of Liverpool is committed to
providing students, staff and members of our local
communities with excellent sports provision. This
booklet provides useful information about Sport
Liverpool, including key contacts and details of the
broad range of activities on offer.
January 2012 saw the re-opening of the upgraded
University pool and our regular users have been
delighted with the transformation, but further works
have been carried out during the summer on
another exciting development. To those already
familiar with the Sports Centre, please don’t worry
if you can’t find our old sports hall - we’ve just
moved it on to the first floor! In its place on the
ground floor we now have a new dance studio,
fitness suite and integrated weight training area.
The reception area has also been improved to help
manage the growing number of members, and on
the first floor we have finally secured our very own
fully loaded sports café, making a visit to the
Sports Centre even more appealing, whether you
want to exercise or not.
To help ensure we make year-on-year
improvements to our sports services we
constantly review what we do and actively seek
feedback from our customers. So, if you can't find
what you want or if you have any views at all on
our sports provision, please feel free to call us
or visit our brand new website at:
www.liverpool.ac.uk/sports
Best wishes for an active, healthy and
successful year.
