Introduction
The additional information that Lloyd’s needs to collect from syndicates in order to be able to complete the
Solvency II Solvency & Financial Condition Report, Regular Supervisory Report and Quantitative Reporting
Templates for the ‘association of underwriters known as Lloyd’s’ will be collected in the QMC and QAD
returns, which will form part of the Core Market Returns system. In addition the syndicate investment
information reported in the QAD will be input into the Lloyd’s Internal Model (LIM) in order to calculate the
market risk capital requirement.
This document provides instructions for the completion of these returns and the returns themselves are
available via the link below:
The forms, instructions and reporting timetable set out in these documents are based on Lloyd’s
interpretation on the Solvency II Pillar 3 requirements as they are currently known. The specification is based
on EIOPA’s Pillar 3 consultation paper published in November 2011. As such, these requirements are not
yet final and thus they could still change. In particular, the reporting deadlines will not be finalised until the
Level 2 measures are finalised, expected to be in late 2012. With regard to the specific reporting
requirements, EIOPA is expected to provide an updated set of reporting templates in late 2012.
Accordingly, this material is draft and will be reviewed and revised at end 2012 following further clarification of
final requirements from EIOPA. However, neither the reporting timetable nor the reporting requirements are
expected to change materially from current expectations. Thus managing agents are advised to use this
material to assist them with their detailed preparations for meeting Solvency II reporting requirements.
