Energy Management system
The increasingly considerable use of household
appliances has shown how their simultaneous and
frequent use can trigger the electricity meter due
to overload, hence disconnecting the power (black
out). In order to avoid this from occurring, Bticino has
designed the Energy Management application which
controls the amount of current absorbed by the loads
inside the house and self-disconnects the household
appliances considered less important. The amount
of absorbed power is controlled by a special unit
which starts triggering actuators (in AXOLUTE, LIVING,
LIGHT and LIGHT TECH style) as the overload condition

gets near, hence disconnecting the loads according
to an order determined by the user. In addition to
the overload control, there is also the possibility to
manage the loads according to a timing plan set
up by the user so as to better utilise the contract
power during low-priced time bands. The Energy
management application can be completed in two
different ways: through BUS technology wire cabling
or through a power line carrier system, for existent
electric systems not set up with BUS wiring. See MY
