such as how to apply, pay rent, maps showing<br />
locations etc, please see www.housingoffice.se.<br />
arrival and Getting Settled<br />
Your Contact Person at <strong>Uppsala</strong> University,<br />
normally the person who has signed your<br />
acceptance letter, will inform you about dates<br />
for recommended arrival. Please confirm your<br />
arrival with this person and you will get an<br />
update on enrolment and course start.<br />
Your new address and important arrival<br />
information will be sent to you by email from<br />
the Housing Office a few weeks before your<br />
arrival. You have access and pay rent for your<br />
room from the 16th of August <strong>2012</strong> (for the<br />
autumn semester). Please make sure to arrive<br />
on a weekday, during office hours to pick up<br />
the key for your room and to meet your contact<br />
person. Please note that the various housing<br />
companies have different opening hours.<br />

If you need to arrive before the 16th<br />
of August (for the autumn semester)<br />
<strong>–</strong> please contact the Housing Office at<br />
least 1 month before arrival. If you come<br />
on one of the recommended arrival days<br />
you will be able to take part in the orientation<br />
programme that the university<br />
arranges for new foreign <strong>student</strong>s. If you<br />
want to ship luggage to <strong>Uppsala</strong> prior to<br />
your departure you can normally do so<br />
to your host department, or, in the case<br />
of exchanges dealt with by the <strong>International</strong><br />
Office, to that office. Nb! It is not<br />
possible to ship luggage to the Housing<br />
Office/Akademihotellet AB.<br />
