Each week, remember to welcome kids to the rotation. Keep in mind that for
some kids it may be the first time they are visiting your workshop!
If kids have heard the story several times during previous weeks, read it again!
Kids learn through repetition, and every workshop will explore the Bible story
in a slightly different way.
Remember that the Shepherds are there to support you as they accompany
kids each week.

Noah’s Ark Storytelling
Welcome to Creative Drama! Begin to form an object with play dough. Have you
ever created something that didn’t turn out the way you wanted? Allow kids to
respond. What did you do? (trash it, start over) That may have been what God was
doing in today’s story, let’s find out!
Today’s story takes place many years after God created the world. Use your
hands and fingers to help me tell this story. Help kids find Noah’s Ark on pages
20-25 of the Spark Story Bible. Encourage kids to follow along as you read, using
their hands to depict objects and motions as they occur in the story.
What did God tell Noah to build? (big boat, ark) Who went into the ark? (Noah,
Noah’s family, two of every animal) What do you think Noah’s family did for fun on
the ark? Accept all answers. What did God put into the sky as a reminder never
to flood the whole earth again? (a rainbow)
