Each week, remember to welcome kids to the rotation. Keep in mind that for
some kids it may be the first time they are visiting your workshop!
If kids have heard the story several times during previous weeks, read it again!
Kids learn through repetition, and every workshop will explore the Bible story
in a slightly different way.
Remember that the Shepherds are there to support you as they accompany
kids each week.

story. Make copies of it and ask Shepherds to distribute it during the Wrap Up.

Noah’s Ark Storytelling
Welcome to Creative Drama. I have a question. What is the longest time you‘ve
ever had to wait? Allow kids to respond to this and the following questions. Have
you ever had to wait for 600 years?
Today’s story is Noah and the Ark. How many of you know this story? Many of
us know the basics of the story, but we’re going to dig a little deeper. How long
did the flood last? Let’s find out.
Invite volunteers to read the following passages from pages 8-11 in the Spark Bible.
• Genesis 7:6-12
• Genesis 7:23-24
• Genesis 8:4-5
• Genesis 8:13-17
• Genesis 9:28-29
Encourage kids to mark a passage with an I Looked It Up, I Read It or Makes Me
Wonder sticker, writing their responses in the margin with a pencil.
