HOTELS:
Unused portions of the room blocks for all hotels,
except the Holiday Inn, will be released on or
about July 1st. The Holiday Inn block will be
released on June 1st.
BE AWARE - Ask for ARCHON, Not Tuckercon
or NASFIC, when making reservations.
The room rates listed below do not include 11% or 13% tax.
CONVENTION HOTEL:

NOTE: All reservations are required to include at
least Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and will be
charged to your credit card at the time of booking.
Reservations cancelled on or after June 1st, 2007 will
not be refunded.
IN ADDITION: The Holiday Inn is insisting guests fill
out, sign, and return a form agreeing to the above, and
a separate form with the credit card information
including a photocopy of both sides of the credit card.
We have argued, pleaded, and yelled at them and, so
far, they have refused to budge on this outrageous
requirement.We intend to keep working on them to
return to their former practice of booking reservations
over the phone, and eliminating these forms. We hope
to at least eliminate the requirement for photocopying
the credit card, as this is a serious security issue,
dependent on them adequately securing the paper
forms containing both the credit card account
information and an image of the actual card, complete
with signature and security code.
A SUGGESTION: To avoid the security problem of the
Holiday Inn keeping paper copies of your credit card for
up to 10 months, you can use a one-time-use prepaid
credit card, or debit gift card. Commerce Bank issues
Visa gift cards in specific amounts for $4.99. There are
also other Visa Gift card providers, and you can also
get Mastercard and Discover (can only be ordered
online) prepaid and gift cards.

the con suite will be on the ground floor, with
access to the patio for smokers.
PARTIES:
The ground-floor wing leading to the indoor pool
will be blocked as the dedicated party wing
(partiers should let both the hotel and the Archon
committee know if they plan to host a party, so we
can guarantee a room in that section. NO parties
will be allowed on other floors.

Except for the COURTYARD, the public areas
of the hotel's first floor will be designated
NON-SMOKING.
ADDITIONAL HOTELS:
Some of these hotels are already sold out, but
most of them have some rooms held outside the
Archon block, and you may still be able to get a
non-block room reservation at a similar price.
We plan to run wheelchair-capable shuttle
buses, but we do not yet know if we will be able
to extend the shuttle service to the Caseyville and
Fairview Heights overflow hotels.
Six of the following seven hotels are on the
opposite side of the Gateway Center from the
Holiday Inn (the Extended Stay Suites, Super 8,
and Fairfield Inn are on the street leading to the
Gateway Center, and the others are on a
separate access street behind them).
