It will tentatively be located in the long rear entry hallway leading to Registration; 6'x30" tables will be $85 each, or $45 for a half table. For more information, contact Jill Lybarger (Dealers Room). 2007 TuckerCon Artist Alley TuckerCon - The 9th NASFiC/Archon 31 will again be hosting an Artist’s Alley. Some of the basic information is as follows. (Detailed info available from the website at http://www.archonstl.org/31/index2.html) Location: The Artist Alley will be located outside of the art show in the Gateway Center. Tables and Rates: The Artist Alley will consist of 21 6'x30" tables. TuckerCon reserves the right to change the number of tables. To guarantee a table in the Artist Alley, Artists need to reserve a table space in their name and pre-register for the convention. Table space will be assigned on a first-paid, first-served basis. Rates for Artist Alley are $60 per table. Artists who wish to share tables or be at adjacent tables should contact the Artist Alley Coordinator. If you require electricity: There are outlets available in the hallway where the Artist Alley is located. We recommend the artist bring an extension cord and powerstrip. If the artist requires special electrical needs, please contact the Artist Alley coordinator listed below. Reserving a Table: First contact the Artist Alley Coordinator (artistalley@archonstl.org) to verify tables are available. (At the time of this publication, there are five tables still available). Include your name, studio (or group), number of Artists in your group, and the number of table spaces you would like to reserve. The coordinator will review your request and let you know by email if your reservation request is approved. Once your request is approved, mail the signed Artist Alley Contract (available from the website at http://www.archonstl.org/31/index2.html) with payment (made out to Archon) to: TuckerCon/Archon 31 PO Box 8387 St. Louis, MO 63132-8387 ATTN: Artist Alley Payments before the convention can be by credit card, check or money order. Hours of Operation: Artists may occupy their tables starting at 5PM on Thursday, Aug. 2 until Noon on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2006. Other than that, there are no set hours. The tables are in an open area, so the Artists can occupy them as long as they want in-between opening and closing. Artists must remove all their material from the Artist Alley by Noon Sunday. Appropriate Sales: Artists may only sell their own work in the Artist Alley. Artists will not sell commercial merchandise at their table, unless it is their own work. The Artist may not sell anything other than art originally created by themselves in one form or another. The Artist may not re-sell materials that can be bought in a store. Artists will check IDs of persons to ensure they are 18 years or older before allowing them to purchase or buy adult material. Artists will ensure that any such works are kept in separate folders from other work. Fan art will be permitted only if it is of an original concept design by the artist and not a copy of an existing design. It should also be of limited production and not mass-produced. If there are any questions, ask the Artist Ally Coordinator. Art Show: The Artist Alley is a separate entity from the Art Show. The Art Show bears no responsibilities to the Artist Alley Artists and vice versa. Security: Artists are responsible for securing their own works and material when not present at their tables. The Art Show has graciously offered to allow Artist Alley Artists to store their wares in a designated area in the Art Show room, which will be locked at night. Contacts: Any questions can be directed to the Artist Alley Coordinator at artistalley@archonstl.org or to artistalley@artczar.org.
