Velocipede era to mid 1940's. Most of the<br />

collection. Assembled by Mr. George<br />

Temple Mayo. Pages are 7-1/2 x 10".<br />

Articles, advertisements, illustrations and<br />

ephemera mounted. Lots of Thomas<br />

Stevens material. Main body assembled in<br />

the 19th Century with strong content from<br />

the 1880's. . IMPORTANT ~ about 24<br />

separate pieces of ephemera including<br />

Invitations, Notices, By-Laws, Scraps etc. of<br />

THE COUNTY CYCLE CLUB of MORRIS<br />

HEIGHTS, the Bronx, NY. This was Mayo's<br />

personal club. Club was important and had<br />

the famous Gould family as members. 1st<br />

page has a poem by Charles E. Pratt.<br />

Famous racers such as WRIGHT, WINDLE,<br />

STANTON at Lillie Bridge. SOMETHING<br />
