Montague Folding Bikes Hit the Road<br />
Having earned an excellent reputation through the durability, functionality, and<br />
performance of its folding mountain bikes, in 2010, Montague decided to adapt its<br />
technology for pavement bikes, and introduced a new line of full-size bikes that fold with<br />
700C wheels. The original Pavement Line featured 4 models: the Boston - a single<br />
speed with a flip-flop rear wheel; the Crosstown - a 7-speed with a height-adjustable<br />
Octagon stem; the Navigator, geared towards commuting; and the 30-speed Fit, for high<br />
performance training and racing. The next year, Montague added another versatile bike<br />
to their pavement line, which features a Shimano Nexus 8-speed internal hub, aptly<br />
called the Boston-8.<br />
Beyond the Bicycle<br />
While Montague Corporation is responsible for one of the most innovative folding<br />
frames on the market, they have also developed components to make cycling easier,<br />
more accessible, and more comfortable for more people. For example, Montague<br />
Corporation developed the Octagon Steering System – a tool-free height-adjustable<br />
steerer tube extender. Octagon allows the rider to adjust the height of their handlebars<br />
on the fly. Already standard on certain Montague models, Octagon can be retrofit onto<br />
any bike with a 1 and 1/8” threadless steel steerer tube. It is available through Quality<br />
Bicycle Products.<br />
Bikes for the Future<br />
From a Washington D.C. garage to 24 countries around the world, Montague<br />
