18. BANK BORROWINGS (CONT’D)
The bank overdrafts, bills payable and revolving credit facilities are repayable within one year, bear interest at
rates ranging from 5.00% to 8.95% (2002 : 5.15% to 9.30%) per annum including the term loans facilities as
mentioned in note 22 to the financial statements which are secured and supported by the following:-
(a) first legal charges over the freehold land of a subsidiary company, Metrarama Sdn. Bhd., and leasehold
properties of subsidiary companies, Amtel Industries Sdn. Bhd. and Viva-World Industries Sdn. Bhd.;
(b) debenture comprising fixed and floating charges over all property, plant and equipment of a subsidiary
company, Viva-World Industries Sdn. Bhd.;
(c) fixed deposits with licensed banks and finance company of subsidiary companies, Topweb Sdn. Bhd. and
Amtel Resources Sdn. Bhd.;
(d) corporate guarantees from the Company; and
(e) Credit Guarantee Corporation Sdn. Bhd.’s Guarantee Cover of RM1,040,000/-.
