Appointments Committee, Campus Appointments Committee, Strategy Committee, the
University Senate, the University’s Council, the Board for Graduate Studies and Research and
its precursors for nearly 20 years, the Board for UG Studies and the Committee of Deans
(which I Chaired). I also served on several Campus Committees at St. Augustine and was a

DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1. The development, manufacture and utilisation of bagasse-based ruminant feeds.
(CARONI (1975) Ltd. and NIHERST). Feed being commercially used at present.
2. Mechanisation of nutmeg processing (Grenada Co-operative Nutmeg Growers'
Association
[GCNA] St. Georges, Grenada). Designed and installed a mechanical seed cracker for
the
Victoria Processing Station in Grenada. Cracker began commercial operation in April
1993. Second cracker shipped in August 1998. Other projects in progress.
3. Peanut mechanisation and post-harvest technology - digging, threshing, drying,
shelling (CARDI - Trinidad and Jamaica). Built digger, thresher and sheller which
were evaluated in Jamaica and Trinidad.
4. Development of a green pigeon-pea harvester (CARONI (1975) Ltd.). Harvester
designed and built and extensively tested by Caroni in the period 1989 - 1991.
5. Solar crop drying technologies for fruits, vegetables and herbs (various funding
agencies such as OAS, CFTC, USAID, Virgin Islands Energy Office etc.).
Development and demonstration of processing techniques for various crops, to food
processors and farmers.
