NOTICE OF ELECTION TO BE HELD APRIL 3, 2007 FOR SCHOOL BOARD
MEMBERS AND FILING DECLARATIONS OF CANDIDACY THEREFOR
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified electors of the School District of Potosi that the
annual election of board members for the school board of said school district will be held on
April 3, 2007, being the first Tuesday in April, at the same times, with the same municipal
election hours and the same polling places used for the annual spring elections held in the
various municipalities lying wholly or partially within the school district. Each school district
elector may vote at the polling place of the municipality or voting precinct of his/her residence.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a primary election, if required, will be held on February
20, 2007.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that any eligible qualified elector desiring to be a
candidate for the office of school board member must file a Declaration of Candidacy and a
Campaign Registration Statement with the undersigned school district clerk prior to 5:00 o’clock
p.m. on January 2, 2007, being the first Tuesday in January prior to the spring
election. Forms for such written declarations and statements may be obtained on or after
December 1, 2006, at the office of the District Administrator of said school district located in the
school district office in the elementary school building, in the Village of Potosi, Grant County,
Wisconsin, and NOTIFICATION IS HEREBY GIVEN by the undersigned school district
clerk that he has established this office for the purpose of filing such Declarations and
Statements and that the office of the District Administrator is the proper place for filing such
Declarations and Statements. The school office will be open between the hours of 7:30 o ’clock
a.m. and 3:45 o’clock p.m. on Monday through Friday of each week except for holidays and
except said office will be open until 5 o’clock p.m. on January 2, 2007. If the time for filing is
extended to January 5, 2007, the office will also be open to 5 o’clock p.m. on January 5, 2007.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the time for filing Declarations of Candidacy may,
under certain circumstances, be extended to 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2007. Information is
available at the address stated above.
A description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the school district office.
Three school board members for three year terms commencing April 23, 2007 and expiring April
23, 2010, will be elected at this election. The names of all declared candidates will be placed on
the ballot and the three receiving the highest number of votes will be elected. The incumbents
are Richard Keene, Peggy Udelhoven and Joe Stohlmeyer.
