BASF Pozzolith Ltd. appoints senior management
Tokyo, Japan, September 17, 2010 – Effective September 1, 2010,
Kouzoh Kubota has assumed the position of representative director and
president of BASF Pozzolith Ltd. Kubota previously served as managing
executive officer and general manager of Marketing and Communications
of the company.
With this appointment, Mark Volmer has handed over his acting position
as president of BASF Pozzolith Ltd. to Kubota, while continuing in his
current role as senior vice president, based in Shanghai, where he is
responsible for the BASF’s Construction Chemicals business for the Asia
Pacific region.
Yukihide Takatsu, former representative director and vice president, has
been appointed as chairman of the company.
Additionally, with the organizational changes at BASF Japan effective
September 1, BASF Pozzolith Ltd. has become a part of the company’s
plastics and construction business unit, and is scheduled to be integrated
into BASF Japan next year.
Kubota joined BASF Japan Ltd. in 1990. He started his career in Organic
Chemical Division and later worked as intermediates manager for the Asia
Pacific at BASF’s East Asia Regional Headquarters (Hong Kong).
