Lloyd L. Withrow Distinguished<br />
Speaker Award<br />
This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding presentation skills.<br />
The intent of the award is to maintain a high level of presentations at <strong>SAE</strong> International<br />
technical sessions by recognizing individuals who make outstanding presentations at<br />
those sessions. The recipient must have received the Oral Presentation Award more than<br />
twice to receive this award.<br />
Established in 1984, this award is administered by the Engineering Meetings Board. In<br />
1993, the name of the award was changed to honor Lloyd L. Withrow, former department<br />
head of General Motors Research Laboratories Fuels and Lubricants Department, and a<br />
noted speaker at many <strong>SAE</strong> meetings. The award consists of a framed certificate.<br />
