A generous gift of nearly $17,500 from
the Thompson Guild enabled us to purchase
a veinviewer ® vision Imaging System
for our Birthing Center. This cutting-edge
machine uses near-infrared light and
patented technologies that allow clinicians
to view babies’ veins before inserting
a needle for blood draws or Ivs. This
increases comfort and efficiency, as
well as reduces stress and the number
of painful needle sticks in babies.
Full field digital mammography equipment enables Thompson to offer patients in our
area the benefits of ultra-safe, ultra-fast imaging with outstanding clarity and accuracy.
Unlike traditional film mammography, digital images are viewed on high-resolution monitors.
Our radiologists can also adjust the brightness and zoom for a closer look at any suspicious
breast abnormalities. Our heartfelt gratitude to Mark and Karen Blazey for helping to make
the purchase of our digital mammography equipment possible.
