Dennis Wolff enters his second season as the head coach for the Hokies ... Wolf was named head<br />
coach of the Hokies on March 22, 2011, becoming the sixth coach in program history…He was<br />
Director of Men’s Basketball Operations & Assistant to the Head Coach for the men’s team at Virginia<br />
Tech last year…Prior to arriving in Blacksburg, Wolff was the head coach at Boston University for<br />
15 seasons from 1994-2009, compiling a 247-197 record, the most wins for any coach in school<br />
history….Wolff led the Terriers to three straight conference titles from 2002-2004, while making<br />
the postseason four straight times from 2002-2005…the three-time America East Coach of the Year<br />
was also twice named NABC District 1 Coach of the Year…Before Boston, Wolff served as assistant<br />
coach at the University of Virginia for head coach Jeff Jones for four years…He has also been an<br />
assistant coach at Wake Forest (1985-89) and at Southern Methodist University (1989-90)…His<br />
coaching career began at Division III Trinity College from 1978-80, and at the age of 25 he was<br />
named as head coach of Connecticut College…Wolff graduated from the University of Connecticut<br />
in 1978 and lettered for coaches Dee Rowe and Dom Perno.<br />
