HamBaker – a sales and marketing partner who can be relied
on in Britain
HamBaker Pipelines is the Cast Iron Pipe
Group‘s sales and marketing partner in
Great Britain. A part of the HamBaker
group, the company was the outcome
of a merger between the Zyron company,
Buderus‘s former sales and marketing
partner in Britain, and the Olympic Pipeline
Products and Roban Ductile Welding
companies.
As Buderus‘s sales and marketing partner
and a producer of flanged pipe, Ham
Baker has the expertise and competencies
needed to supply customers with a
comprehensive range of ductile pipe and
accessories. Market conditions in Britain
have not been easy, but despite this Ham
Baker, under the leadership of managing
director Stew Bailie backed by his committed
team, has managed to double the
sales of Buderus pipe since the merger
in 005. Where the company is making a
particular effort is in the marketing of pipe
with BLS ® restrained joints.
Together with Buderus Giesserei Wetzlar
GmbH, HamBaker founded Buderus Pipe
Systems FZCO in Dubai in 007 and thus
strengthened the already well-established
contacts that existed in the Middle East.
Ed Howard, Ham Baker‘s Group Manag-
ing Director, has this to say: „Our company

As well as the company headquarters near
Manchester United‘s „Theatre of Dreams“
in Manchester, HamBaker Pipelines also
has a production site for flanged pipes at
Stoke-on Trent in the „Potteries“ – an area
of England which is world famous for
the production of china and porcelain.
Well known brand names such as Royal
Doulton, Spode, Wedgwood and Minton
had their home there. Although nowadays
there are also a number of modern factories
to be found in Stoke, the distinctive
feature of the townscape is still the old
„bottle kilns“.
