EXPERT TESTIMONY EXPERIENCE
Soil and groundwater contamination with hydrocarbons was discovered at an industrial site
in City of Commerce, California 10 years following sale of the property. Reviewed data and
performed numerical simulations for defendant to assess timing of release events.
Various suits were brought against Texaco and Star Enterprise by property owners within
and beyond the current extent of contamination of a fuel release from a distribution terminal
in Fairfax, Virginia. Reviewed data and performed computer simulations for defendant to
evaluate impacts of the fuel release on properties in the past and in the future.
Chlorinated solvents were detected in groundwater in a residential area in Greenville, South
Carolina adjacent to a fiber manufacturing plant. Retained by plaintiffs to review data and
perform numerical simulations of groundwater flow and dissolved solvent migration to
assess timing of the release and to make prediction of the future extent of groundwater
contamination.
A large fuel oil spill was discovered at an ore processing facility in New Jersey following a
property sale. Served as an expert for defendant binding arbitration. Reviewed data and
performed analyses to assess the release volume and timing.
Chlorinated solvents were detected in a water supply well used at the mobile home park in
Greenville, South Carolina. Retained by plaintiff to evaluate the source of groundwater
contamination.
Gasoline contamination was detected in the McCoy property. Reviewed data for plaintiff to
evaluate probable source of contamination.
Chlorinated solvents were detected in groundwater at a private well in Columbia, South
Carolina. Retained by plaintiff to determine the probable source of groundwater
contamination. Reviewed data and performed simulations of groundwater flow and dissolved
chemical transport.
A property sale by plaintiff fell through due to contamination with chlorinated solvents on an
adjacent site. Retained by plaintiff to determine if property had been contaminated.
PCB contamination in soil at a die casting plant in Addison, Illinois was detected after site
cleanup. Plaintiff argued contamination was caused by wastewater leakage during site
cleanup. Retained by defendant to determine when and how soil contamination occurred.
Insurance liability dispute concerning costs for remediation of fuel contaminated sites.
Retained by defendant to determine the timing of fuel releases at a distribution terminal.
