Cool Chain Association
Following a successful workshop last year in Cape Town,
South Africa, the German Cool Chain Association (CCA) AGM
2011 will be hosted by FloraHolland in the scenically faultless
city of Aalsmeer, The Netherlands.
For three days, 25 to 27 May 2011, cold chain experts from
around the world will meet in the very heart of the
international floriculture sector to discuss, debate and
communicate to attendees their “End-to-End Solutions” for
the cool supply chain.
Reputed for the high quality of floriculture products it
produces, The Netherlands has an intricate network of
premium companies – ranging from leading breeders and
growers to sales experts and export firms, representing every
aspect of the business.
The Netherlands is the place where supply and demand come
together. FloraHolland flower auction plays a key role in the
Netherlands’ land of floriculture where its position as
marketplace fulfils the role of matchmaker, intermediary and
knowledge centre.
AGM 2011
FloraHolland is a modern business with six auction centres, a
nationally operated intermediary organisation and a dedicated
import department. Attendees to the CCA’s AGM2011 will
also get a rare opportunity to visit the facilities and learn
more about the internal workings of the flower business.
As well as input from FloraHolland’s own experts, included in
this year’s programme for delegates is valuable input from
the likes of airline cargo and container experts, marine
terminal operators, and customs authorities.
