Uruguay. Homenaje a Sus Campeones. Special edition<br />

of „El Uruguay“ honouring the Uruguayan Olympian<br />

victory ai the Football Tournaments in 1924 and 1928.<br />

Extensive coverage and numerous photos. Was produced<br />

as a preliminary report for the 1932 Olympic Games<br />

in Los Angeles where the Football Tournament had to<br />

be cancelled as there were not enough teams to participate.<br />

64 pages with about 40 b/w photos, size 40x29<br />

cm, soft cover. Cover heavily torn, with small faults and<br />

adhesive strips on the spine. Rarity!<br />

Germany, Denmark, Norway and Schweden.<br />

Games were held because Germany was not<br />

invited to the 1920 and 1924 Olympic Games. They<br />

continued even after Germany‘s renewed participation<br />

in the Olympics untill 1934. The fi rst Games were<br />

held in Cologne in 1922. Bronze, silver plated emblem<br />

mounted on an amber plaque!. Size 2 cm. Very rare! EF.<br />

the 3rd place at „Deutsche Winterkampfspiele 1934.<br />

Braunlage - Schierke. Dem Sieger“ German Winterolymics.<br />

Bronze, (233 grammes). The games were originaly<br />

the substitute for the Olympics 1920 and 1924 as the<br />

Germans were not allowed to participate, and was they<br />

were successful were continued up to 1934. Due to the<br />

small amount of competitions only 60 medals were<br />

produced!<br />

The youth organisation of the Nazi party allocates a<br />

quota of voluntary aides working in diff erent tasks in<br />

the Olympic village and the tournament locations. The<br />

wear a specially designed uniform. The leaders of these<br />

battalions wore these armbands. Top rarity! Very fi ne<br />

condition!<br />
