Description:<br />

Measured temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity,<br />

dew point temperature, absolute humidity, specific humidity,<br />

mixing ratio or specific enthalpy is converted to digital serial output<br />

with the RS485 or RS232 link parameters. The RS485 transmitter<br />

circuitry is galvanically isolated from power circuitry to prevent<br />

collision in RS485 network.<br />

Large dual line LCD <strong>for</strong> display of temperature, humidity, pressure<br />

or other calculated humidity interpretation is an advantage.<br />

Computerized design ensures maximum long term stability <strong>and</strong> fail<br />

indication. The transmitter works with ModBus RTU<br />

communication protocol or with Advantech ADAM compatible<br />

protocol. Protocol is user selectable in special configuration mode<br />

by means of the PC. Serial link enables to read actual readings<br />

<strong>and</strong> modify transmitter configuration. Instrument works always in<br />

slave mode, i.e. responds only to master device query.<br />

<strong>Transmitter</strong>s have the address space available from 1 to 255.<br />

The Tx31x RS232 transmitters can be powered directly from the<br />

COM port of the PC or from external ac/dc adapter.<br />

State-of-the-art capacitive polymer humidity sensor excels in<br />

mechanical stress, temperature shock, dew resistance as well as<br />

in large linearity range <strong>and</strong> low hysteresis. <strong>Transmitter</strong>s are<br />

designed <strong>for</strong> use in non-aggressive environment.<br />

Free program TSensor <strong>for</strong> configuring of the transmitter<br />

Free program SensorReader <strong>for</strong> monitoring <strong>and</strong> logging values from one transmitter to a PC disk. Program enables to alarm acoustically the PC user if<br />

adjusted alarm limits are exceeded. Recorded values in CSV <strong>for</strong>mat are easy to process in e.g. Excel. Program can be started several times on a<br />

computer at the same time to monitor values from several transmitters.<br />

For acquiring values from several transmitters, third party software is necessary to use. Tested functionality is with programs:<br />

LabVIEW from National Instruments, by means of the free Modbus Library <strong>for</strong> LabVIEW. For viewing of actual values <strong>and</strong> graphs from Tx5xx transmitters<br />

following example of application was created in LabVIEW 8.5 : RS232-485.vi<br />

TIRS.NET - transmitters are also directly supported by program TIRS.NET from Coral s.r.o. company.<br />

Tested functionality is also with programs ControlWeb, EasyView.<br />

For record of values to graphs via web interface, project Cacti www.cacti.net is available.<br />
